Making Geelong Australia’s most active city through innovation.
Activity Geelong Physical HACKtivity Days will bring together community representatives and experts to identify the barriers, challenges and enablers to participation in physical activity in the northern suburbs using a systems-thinking approach.
Geelong has many mass participation events; a plethora of enthusiastic service providers; and a physical environment that exudes opportunities for physical activity. Despite this, it’s still the physically active in our community who are most catered for.
For Geelong to be the most active city in Australia we need to rethink what we’re doing by providing creative initiatives that support the least active to engage in physical activity.
This Physical HACKtivity Day, or ‘hack’ day, brings together a range of interdisciplinary individuals and innovative minds to work together to solve a problem in clever and creative way.
