See how sustainable and innovative solutions have created age-defying pedestrian bridges in our region.
Unveiling a world first in bridge design and manufacture.
Meet the tour at Federal Mills, to share the story about what makes the bridges so special and ground breaking, followed by a short bus trip to the site where the bridges are located for a walking tour with the designers, engineers, builders and masterminds behind the ground breaking bridges. The age-defying bridges were inspired by the City of Greater Geelong, by applying the Procurement for Innovation method for the first time in Australia.
This method uses the substantial buying power of the public sector, to move markets to more sustainable options.
Bus tour starts and concludes at Federal Mills, 33 Mackay Street, North Geelong.
The tour is limited to 45 people.
