A guided, five-step design thinking workshop to re-imagine Geelong’s Arts and Culture Trails mobile app and its potential to share cultural experiences.

Experience the Design Thinking process; a mobile App for focus.

The City of Greater Geelong – Arts & Culture Department will guide a five-step Design Thinking process using key elements of creativity to challenge you to re-imagine a mobile app and its potential to share cultural experiences.

The session will compare two mainstream design processes: The linear-driven traditional business thinking focused on analytics and based on numbers that is not supportive of innovation, contrasted with a contemporary process that uses rhetorical arguments based on conversation and is human-centred, options focused, possibility driven and iterative.

Both have their place. We will challenge you to step out of the linear ‘business’ comfort zone into the Design Thinking model.

Essential Preparation:
Download the FREE Arts & Culture Trails app from www.geelongaustralia.com.au/arts and discover everything you can about the app as it can currently be used, before attending the session.
