Share your thoughts on Geelong’s design history, be immersed in a VR experience of iconic local invention the Ford Ute and hear results of ‘Designed by Geelong: a history of invention’.

Join us for a fun filled two and a half hours of gathering opinions, inspirational ideas and recalling memories about design in Geelong. Three activity stations will be set up where participants move freely between the three stations and share their thoughts and ideas. What are you excited about when you view ideas of design? What past stories do you have of interactions with design and manufacturing in Geelong? What is happening with design and manufacturing today? How can Geelong’s creative past and present be shown through cutting-edge immersive digital technologies? How might design and manufacturing heritage inspire future generations of our “clever and creative” community?

Share your thoughts on Geelong’s design history, see an immersive VR experience of the iconic local invention the Ford Ute and hear results of ‘Designed by Geelong: a history of invention’ by Deakin University, the City of Greater Geelong, Geelong Gallery, Geelong Library and Heritage Centre, and the National Wool Museum.
