See how timber waste can be recycled and turned into coffee cup holders – the ultimate office accessory.

‘re-‘ rescued timber cupholders engage a responsible cafe loving community.

Design Wharf Creative is an art, design and maker start-up based in Newtown. We focus on sustainable initiatives and improved environmental conditions for the built environment and the performing arts.

‘re-‘ rescued timber cupholders provide an alternative to commonly used cardboard and plastic beverage carry trays; which are often made from over-resourced raw and natural materials. Using construction and demolition waste as a point of difference in ‘doing it differently’ will highlight the value of recycling timber and providing a creative reuse instead of ending up as landfill.

We recycle timber waste into cup holders, so that offices all around the country can use these rather than going out for the coffee run and continually use throw away materials. A single timber tray can be used multiple times.
