Open your mind to new ways of designing.

The Geelong Arts Centre invites you into the wings to hear from contemporary theatre designers from Griffith, Arena and Back to Back Theatre as they discuss the process for realising their artistic vision on stage.

A play springs from page to stage thanks to the creative team, director and performers working together to bring the writer’s words to life.

Theatre is a shared experience that has the power to create joy, laughter, tears or anger.

Designers and creatives behind the play are the ones who create the environment which shapes these moments.

Each time a designer approaches a new project they have to be open to new ideas, flexible, adaptable and courageous.
