CLOSED: Craft Contemporary Makers submissions

Craft Contemporary is a Victorian festival celebrating vibrant approaches and experimentation by today’s makers. Bringing together contemporary ideas with examples of skill and creative innovation, the 2021 Craft Contemporary program will include exhibitions, workshops, seminars and events across Victoria and online.

A number of opportunities are now open for applications including:

Satellite program: the 2021 Craft Contemporary satellite program will present diverse projects and events exploring how new ideas are being expressed by today’s makers and the reality of what it means to make by hand.

Makers in residence: Craft are calling for applications from makers who would like to share their practice with our community as part of the Craft Contemporary Maker in Residence program. Based in artists’ own studios, the series of residencies will provide a platform for craft practitioners to share insight into their practice and the processes of making new work.

Virtual open studios: Apply to be part of the Craft Contemporary Virtual Open Studios program. Hosted online via Zoom, the virtual open studios program will allow the craft community to explore the creative working spaces and talents of some of Australia’s most exciting craft artists.
