Geelong will experience a touch of Hollywood glamour when the City welcomes Oscar-winning animator Adam Elliot to the National Wool Museum in August.

Elliot, one of Australia’s most celebrated stop-motion animators, will present ‘Little Blobs of Clay’ at the National Wool Museum as part of the 2019 Digital Innovation Festival.

The festival is a state government initiative to develop, demonstrate and promote technology innovation across every sector of the economy and society.

Through creativity, big dreams and sheer hard work, Elliot took on the giants at Disney, Pixar and Fox to win an Academy Award for his clay-animation Harvie Krumpet.

His six short films have been viewed by millions of people, earning him international recognition as a master storyteller.

Ahead of the release of his next film in 2022, Elliot will share his insights into the ground-breaking technology and innovations that are transforming the animation industry.

The event, supported by the Victorian Government Regional Development Connecting Communities Program, will be held on Tuesday 27 August from 6pm.
