Rami Bebawi

Rami Bebawi, principal architect and co-founder of KANVA in 2003, believes in the promotion of intercultural and interdisciplinary sharing of experiences and knowledge, to create rich narratives and sensitive approaches. Based in Montreal, KANVA is made up of passionate architects whose work is at the forefront of thinking, imagining, drawing and constructing. The collective’s vanguard work has won many prestigious awards, including the World Architecture Festival’s ‘Experimental – Future Projects’ award in 2018, the Royal Architectural Institute of Canada Emerging Architectural Practice Award and several Awards of Excellence in Architecture. They also were awarded of the professional Prix de Rome by the Canada Council for the Arts for their research project Adaptive Boundaries and more recently are representing Canada at the 2020 World Expo in Dubai with the public art installation TRACES.
